Ever pick up a crazy hand dyed skein of yarn and think, what on earth do I do with this?!? In this one work class, Robbie will show you his three favourite techniques for making those delightfully pretty yet difficult to use yarns shine!
Dipped Stitches involve knitting into rows well below your needles, and elongate those short bursts of colour, while slipped stitches spread the colour out in different ways. And finally, passed stitch patterns break up the variegation by pulling things in different directions!
To participate, bring along some 4mm knitting needles of any type, and a crazy skein of fingering weight yarn. Don’t have one of those? The market will be full of them, just make sure to ask for a heavily variegated skein when visiting all the booths!
